Gears of War: E-Day

Gears of War: E-Day class progression

Quick answer

Finish Horde Siege missions to earn Class XP. Each class has 30 launch-period levels, with weapon and mod unlocks plus key health or damage milestones. Class Level is separate from Player Level and Re-Up.

What leveling unlocks

The class track unlocks weapons, Armor Mods, Tactical Gear Mods and Weapon Mods. Important milestones also improve base health or damage.

Focus on a class you regularly play and inspect its next track reward. Unlocking a weapon mod on the track does not skip its purchase: you still need Weapon Parts.

Match difficulty to class progress

The official launch guidance recommends these class-level ranges:

Difficulty Class progression guidance
Infantry Levels 10–20
Commander Levels 20–30
Allfather A max-level class

These are recommendations, not a promise that reaching the listed level guarantees a clear. Squad play and the mission still matter.

Keep the two XP systems separate

Class XP develops a Horde class. Player XP develops the multiplayer Player Level that leads to Re-Up. Raising one does not substitute for the other’s unlock conditions.

This guide uses the 30-level launch track. It does not use a Beta cap or claim a fastest XP-per-hour route.
